Getting in Touch with Literacy

Thanks to all the teachers who visited with us at the Getting In Touch with Literacy conference. Many TSVIs (Teachers of Students with Vision Impairments) came to our sessions to learn about BuddyBooks to help struggling readers, and to learn about our gamified apps to help blind and low-vision students build critical life skills.

GITWL brings together the most current thinking on all options of literacy for individuals who are blind or visually impaired, including print, braille, auditory, tactile graphics comprehension and the use of technology.

I came across this game while scrolling and thought I would give it a try. In the beginning I didn’t understand anything and didn’t enjoy it much. After a few tries, I started understanding it better. Now I play it sometimes when I have free time. It works fine on my phone with no lag. I don’t use it regularly. It’s not very special, but still okay for short sessions and passing time.
